Spotless showers and toilets.
Honestly you forget you are out in the sticks! This site has everything you'll ever need. Warm shower blocks and pristine toilets, well-equipped supermarket, evening entertainment and a Sunday carvery too. The site wardens are super friendly and helpful and pointed us in the direction of a brilliant fishing tackle shop so we could hit the lake. Idyllic lake - we'll be back. Thanks for everything :)

Brilliant stay as usual.
This is our third visit to the Grass Roots campsite. Unsurprisingly, it didn't disappoint. Our motor home pitch was easy to hook up to the site electric. Our hosts, came over making sure we had everything we needed and gave us site information and details about good places to visit in the area. We were pointed in the direction of local shops, restaurants and other super helpful locations. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you next year.

The refurbishments are impressive.
We have been coming to the Grass Roots campsite for the last ten years. This year they have started the season with a completely refurbished shower block - including new showers, mirror/vanity stations, and hairdryers - heated and ready for the early morning start; really posh loos! In addition, they have a brand new restaurant where you can buy meals and snacks with an adjoining gift shop and supermarket. I didn't think Grass Roots could get any better but I stand corrected.We cannot wait for our annual visit this time next year. Thanks again for all the effort you put into keeping the site amazing!

Wonderful facilities and lifesaver wardens.
Our first time at Grass Roots campsite but we'll be definitely coming back again. We had a disaster a few miles from the campsite and got a flat tyre and we didn't have a spare (foolishly). We called Grass Roots to inform them about checking in later than expected. To our surprise and delight, they came to our rescue, with a local mechanic that got us up and running again. They went above and beyond to help us get to Grass Roots and looked after us for the duration of our stay. Such kind owners - thank you again so much.

Wildlife hotspot.
Even though this campsite has lots of things to do and fabulous facilities, there is a more off-grid part of the site where you can pitch up, get away from it all and breathe in the fresh air, and tranquil views and see first hand - the beautiful wildlife. Each morning, I saw deer, foxes anda plethora of wildlife calmly inhabiting the site, with me - the intruder. I will be sure to pay this place a visit again but next time bring my binoculars to make the most of my beautiful surroundings. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great Views and Prices
Huge camping grassed area. Separate touring areas. No privacy between pitches. Sat outside and fed the very friendly crows. Very friendly staff, Great Views and Prices.

Spent two nights
Spent two nights here beautiful location great facilities and friendly staff. We opted for a spot in the adults only area which would have been perfect apart from the fact that we backed onto a group with children was not a problem, we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Absolutely beautiful
Absolutely beautiful and very friendly and accommodating with lovely people and very safe and adherence to all the current guidelines regarding Coronavirus.Felt very safe in this Site and so wished we could have stayed for much longer but without a doubt we would definitely return.
