These pitches are grass, and will accommodate tents only. All will accommodate an awning and have electric (10 amp supply), water and drainage. These are medium size pitches. Please let us know the type and size of unit you have when booking, so we can allocate a pitch accordingly. Bookings accepted from couples and families only. We do not allow fires or fire pits on the park.

Spotless showers and toilets.
Honestly you forget you are out in the sticks! This site has everything you'll ever need. Warm shower blocks and pristine toilets, well-equipped supermarket, evening entertainment and a Sunday carvery too. The site wardens are super friendly and helpful and pointed us in the direction of a brilliant fishing tackle shop so we could hit the lake. Idyllic lake - we'll be back. Thanks for everything :)
Brilliant stay as usual.
This is our third visit to the Grass Roots campsite. Unsurprisingly, it didn't disappoint. Our motor home pitch was easy to hook up to the site electric. Our hosts, came over making sure we had everything we needed and gave us site information and details about good places to visit in the area. We were pointed in the direction of local shops, restaurants and other super helpful locations. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you next year.
The refurbishments are impressive.
We have been coming to the Grass Roots campsite for the last ten years. This year they have started the season with a completely refurbished shower block - including new showers, mirror/vanity stations, and hairdryers - heated and ready for the early morning start; really posh loos! In addition, they have a brand new restaurant where you can buy meals and snacks with an adjoining gift shop and supermarket. I didn't think Grass Roots could get any better but I stand corrected.We cannot wait for our annual visit this time next year. Thanks again for all the effort you put into keeping the site amazing!
